The United Nations have announced that every day 13.7 million single use plastic bags are used across the globe. Since we came to business in 2007, we have been on a mission to reduce this shocking number by making a wide range of responsible bags from a variety of recycled fabrics.
We are experts in producing bags from recycled plastic bottles, single use plastic containers and discarded domestic appliances. Each one of our bags is made with care and designed to last. The fabrics are strong, hardwearing and designed for daily use. We are constantly looking for ways to save more plastic and to do it more efficiently. Bags are our speciality.
We create everything from pocket sized foldable shopping pouches, high fashion ladies bags, waterproof beach and surfboard bags, kids backpacks, baby diaper bags, tote bags, insulated electronics carrier bags, luggage and thermal bags: you name it – we make it. If we haven’t made it, you bet we can.
Tote Bag
Tote Bags are a perennial favourite. Generally made from a light canvas fabric, they are strong with a soft handfeel. Designed to your specifications including width, height, length, hand carry or shoulder straps; you design it – we create it. Each tote saves from 2 to 8 bottles from ending up in landfills.

Waterproof Bags
Waterproof bags are made from Ripstop fabric which is both strong yet lightweight. It is highly resistant to wear and tear which makes it fit for purpose. Sports bags use between 30 to 150 recycled plastic bottles per bag, reducing a significant amount of plastic heading towards dumps or the ocean.

Backpacks
Backpacks come in all sorts of shapes and sizes depending on their intended market and use. We make every kind of backpack for kids and adults. Oxford fabric is the most popular for these bags for breathability, tear and snag resistance. An average kids backpack is made from 14 recycled plastic bottles while a large, multi-pocketed adult bag can use up to 30 bottles

Fashion Bags
Ladies Fashion Bags come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Remember, anything that is made from polyester, can be made from recycled polyester which rids the world of plastic pollution. It’s that simple.

I used to be a bottle bag
Each of these lightweight, foldable pouch bags are made from high quality 65gsm recycled taffeta 190T. 2 plastic bottles have been saved from entering landfills or our oceans with every single bag produced. The slogan captures the attention and imagination of consumers and is a positive environmental message to carry around. Every RPET bag we produce is done so responsibly using 70% less energy, 75% less CO2 and 86% less water than non recycled fabric bags.
Our smallest RPET bag saves 2 plastic bottles from ending up in a landfill or our oceans. Our largest waterproof surf board bag uses 150 plastic bottles.
I used to be a fridge
Unique to Waste2Wear, pioneering 100% recycled polypropylene bags made entirely from old domestic appliances such as fridges, washing machines, air conditioners etc. This innovation won a distinction in the 2022 Packaging Award of Canada (PAC) for Innovative Sustainable Packaging and the 2020 European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC) Sustainable Business Award for innovative packaging.
RPP bags are ideal as daily shoppers for every brand. The average bag is weight tested to carry 15kg and is suitable for daily use. Currently being used by large global brands, they are the ideal responsible shopper made entirely from the discarded hard plastic from old domestic appliances. We do what others don’t care or dare to do. We take the time and effort to separate old appliances to save the discarded plastic and turn it into a valuable commodity. The slogan captures the interest and imagination of consumers and is a positive message to all. The production of every recycled polypropylene bag uses 88% less energy, 71% less CO2 and 46% less water than producing from new polypropylene. All of this is verified by our award-winning blockchain.
