“We made a conscious decision to collaborate with Waste2Wear, as we share the same values and commitment towards sustainability, environmental protection and society. We are looking forward to our cooperation in fabric development as well as social initiatives.”
– Claudia Lässig, CEO and Managing Director of Lässig GmbH
With the use of Waste2Wear®fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles, instead of using virgin polyester we need 70% less energy, 75% less CO2 and 86% less water. We show the complete savings of our collaboration in the official Waste2Wear®Environmental Impact Report for LÄSSIG FASHION:
Truly committed to transforming the textile industry, LÄSSIG and Waste2Wear value long term partnerships. The bags from LÄSSIG’s Ocean Collection therefore mark a promising first collaboration with future perspective.
For each new bag, LÄSSIG now recycles 10 to 38 plastic waste bottles. Strengthening our believe that by doing business together we create more impact.
This year they selected the Beach Cleanup Project. From the sale of the Charity Shopper, made of recycled polyester from Waste2Wear, Lässig donates € 2,- to the Beach Clean Up Project. With the sale of 1000 Charity Shoppers, a project can already be organized. The impact of one clean-up day: volunteers collect up to half a ton of plastic waste!
Part of this year’s commitment to the Beach Cleanup Project, employees of Lässig, but also Waste2Wear and NGO HandsON are mobilized to gather and dispose plastic waste.
As a dynamic and future-oriented family company, Lässig has high demands on responsibility and environmental awareness – and that didn’t go unnoticed. The brand has managed to establish itself as a premium lifestyle brand with high credibility and a clear focus on sustainability.
Lässig develops innovative, cheerful, lively and appealing products for the whole family and everyone who lives an active and busy life.
Lässig and Waste2Wear proudly launched the Ocean Collection of bags, created with Waste2Wear recycled fabrics. The collection is available in store and through the Lässig website and marked the first, but promising, collaboration between the two companies.
